Choosing the Right Case With Pen Holder
-
Verify Exact Device Compatibility
You must ensure the case matches your specific tablet model. The MoKo case is designed strictly for the reMarkable 2 (2020). It will not fit older versions or different brands. Similarly, the CoBak option is built for the 11.8-inch Paper Pro. Using a case with incorrect dimensions can leave your screen exposed or prevent the cover from closing properly. Always check the manufacturer's stated size requirements before purchasing to avoid a poor fit.
-
Check Pen Holder Design
Look for a dedicated slot that secures your stylus. The MoKo case provides magnetic security to keep the pen attached firmly. The QIOFEARTH shell offers a convenient pen slot for storage. Some cases, like the TiMOVO, help organize both the pen and its tips. A secure holder prevents loss and keeps your writing tool accessible. Ensure the holder is integrated into the case design rather than relying on external attachments for stability.
-
Consider Auto Sleep Features
Some cases include sensors that put your tablet to sleep when closed. The CoBak Folio for the Remarkable Paper Pro and the GOVTVA case for the AINOTE Air 2 both feature auto sleep and wake functions. This saves battery life and protects the screen from accidental touches. If you prefer manual control, you might skip these. However, for daily convenience, an auto-sleep feature is a practical specification to look for in your chosen case.
-
Evaluate Protection Level Needs
Determine how much protection your device requires. The CoBak option for the Remarkable Paper Pro offers waterproof protection, which is ideal for outdoor use. The QIOFEARTH shell prioritizes durability for the BOOX Note Air4 C. If you need minimal weight, the GOVTVA case is lighter at 4.66 ounces. Choose a level of protection that matches your usage environment, whether that is daily office use or travel in varied conditions.
-
Assess Weight and Portability
The weight of the case affects how portable your device is. The GOVTVA case weighs only 4.66 ounces, making it very lightweight. The MoKo case weighs 10.9 ounces, offering a sturdier feel. The TiMOVO case is also designed to be slim and protective. If you carry your tablet frequently, a lighter case reduces fatigue. Compare the listed weight specifications to find a balance between protection and ease of transport for your daily routine.
