Screen Size and Surface Finish
Screen size
The BoxWave Nook GlowLight Plus Matte Screen Protector is designed for a 6-inch display. This size offers a standard reading area that balances portability with comfortable text visibility. The BoxWave Veidoo eReader E7 ClearTouch Crystal protector fits a slightly smaller 5.8-inch screen. This difference is small, but it means the protectors are not interchangeable. You must choose the protector that matches your specific device dimensions exactly. Precision cutting ensures full access to all contours and cutouts for each respective model. Select the option that corresponds to your eReader's physical screen measurement to avoid misalignment or reduced functionality.
Surface finish
Surface finish affects how you see and touch the screen. The Nook GlowLight Plus Matte protector features a matte, anti-glare surface. It disperses light to reduce glare from overhead or natural lighting. This finish also reduces 90% of UV rays and provides a paper-like touch that is pleasing to the eye. The Veidoo eReader E7 ClearTouch Crystal protector offers a high-definition, clear finish. It provides up to 99% visual clarity for a vibrant viewing experience. The surface is smooth and glass-like. Choose the matte version if you read in bright environments. Choose the crystal version if you prioritize maximum transparency and color vibrancy.
Material composition
The materials used for each protector influence durability and feel. The BoxWave Nook GlowLight Plus Matte protector is made from film. This material supports the matte texture and anti-glare properties. The BoxWave Veidoo eReader E7 ClearTouch Crystal protector is constructed from thermoplastics. This material choice helps protect the screen against everyday scratches, dust, and minor impacts. Both materials are designed to be durable while maintaining their specific optical properties. The thermoplastic construction of the Veidoo protector may offer slightly different impact resistance compared to the film used for the Nook protector. Consider which material properties align with your usage habits.
Adhesive type
Both products utilize a glueless adhesive system for application. This method allows the protectors to adhere smoothly to the screen without leaving sticky residue. Removal is clean and safe for your device. The Nook GlowLight Plus Matte protector uses this glueless adhesive to ensure no damage occurs during removal. The Veidoo eReader E7 ClearTouch Crystal protector also features a low-tack glueless adhesive. Note that the low-tack adhesive on the Veidoo protector may take up to 48 hours to fully settle along the edges. Initial air bubbles on the Veidoo model typically clear with regular use. Both options ensure easy, residue-free application for your peace of mind.
Package contents
Each package includes two screen protectors. The BoxWave Nook GlowLight Plus Matte Screen Protector comes with two anti-glare protectors and installation accessories. The BoxWave Veidoo eReader E7 ClearTouch Crystal protector includes two crystal protectors, one applicator card, and one microfiber cleaning cloth. The Veidoo package provides more specific tools for application, such as the applicator card and cleaning cloth. The Nook package mentions installation accessories but does not list the specific items included.
