Specs: Boox Palma vs Veidoo E8
Device Compatibility
The primary difference between these two styluses is the specific device they support. The BoxWave EverTouch Meritus Capacitive Stylus Pen is explicitly compatible with the Boox Palma E-Ink Tablet. The BoxWave EverTouch Meritus Stylus Pen is designed for the Veidoo eReader E8, which features an 8.2-inch display. Both are capacitive tools, but they are matched to different hardware ecosystems. You must select the version that matches your specific tablet model to ensure proper fit and function within the BoxWave product line.
Tip Technology
Both products utilize a FiberMesh tip made from tightly-woven conductive material. This design provides superior screen response and allows the stylus to work at any screen angle with less pressure required for movement. The tip is made of super conductive fiber material for accurate performance. Since both the Boox-compatible and Veidoo-compatible versions share this exact tip construction, there is no difference in the underlying technology used to interact with the touchscreen surface. You get identical input precision from either pen.
Stylus Technology
Both the BoxWave EverTouch Meritus Capacitive Stylus Pen and the BoxWave EverTouch Meritus Stylus Pen rely on capacitive technology. This means they do not require pairing or batteries to function. They simply work on your device by mimicking the electrical properties of your finger. This plug-and-play approach ensures immediate usability without setup. Since the technology type is identical for both models, you do not need to worry about connectivity issues or power sources for either option. The interaction method remains consistent across both products.
Physical Dimensions
The physical form factor is identical for both styluses. Each pen measures 5.75 inches (14.5 cm) in length with a 1/2 inch (1.27 cm) barrel. This consistent sizing ensures that the grip and balance feel the same regardless of which device you own. The ergonomic design supports everyday usage and provides a comfortable hold for extended writing or drawing sessions. You will not notice any difference in hand feel or portability between the Boox version and the Veidoo version due to their matching dimensions.
Pen Features
Both models include a retractable ballpoint pen that emerges with a simple clockwise twist. This allows you to jot notes on paper just as easily as you write on a screen. Each stylus also comes with a handy clip for easy transportation and storage. The combination of digital and analog writing tools is present in both products. You get the same dual functionality whether you choose the Boox-compatible or Veidoo-compatible version. The mechanical operation of the pen tip is the same in both cases.
Build and Color
Both styluses share the same aesthetic and build quality. They feature a glossy and smooth body with metallic silver highlights, described as having a classy and professional style. The color is Jet Black for both models. This luxury design is intended to impress colleagues and friends while serving as an elegant gift. The visual appearance and material finish are indistinguishable between the two products. You receive the same premium look and feel regardless of which specific device compatibility you require.
Weight
Weight is another identical specification for both products. Each stylus weighs 1 ounce. This light weight contributes to the comfortable handling experience, reducing hand fatigue during long writing sessions. The balance of the pen is likely similar due to the matching dimensions and materials. You can expect the same tactile feedback regarding heaviness and portability from either the Boox Palma stylus or the Veidoo E8 stylus. The physical mass does not vary between the two compatible versions.
