Looking Beyond the DRLOKPAK 8.5-Inch Waterproof E-Reader? 6 Alternatives Worth a Look

You are looking for drlokpak waterproof tablet case dry alternatives because the original product has specific limitations. The DRLOKPAK 8.5-Inch Waterproof E-Reader Pouch offers IPX8 protection up to 10 meters. It features a double ziplock closure and a clear TPU window for touch access. However, it weighs 5.71 ounces and measures 10 by 7.1 inches. This size may be too bulky for smaller 6- or 7-inch e-readers. You might prefer a lighter option or a case that floats in water. Some users also seek fabric covers for daily indoor use rather than heavy-duty dry bags.
We selected these alternatives because their specifications overlap with the original product. The list includes pouches designed for 6-7 inch devices, which are more compact than the 8.5-inch model. You will find options with different weights, such as the 2.2-ounce WALNEW pouch. Some choices offer floating capabilities for added safety during swimming. Others provide fabric materials for Kindle Paperwhite users who need auto wake and sleep functions. Each product addresses different needs while maintaining essential waterproof or protective features. Review the specs to find the right fit for your device size and activity.
Comparing Waterproof Pouch Alternatives
WALNEW 6-7 Inch Universal Waterproof Pouch
The WALNEW pouch targets smaller 6 to 7 inch e-readers, unlike the DRLOKPAK which accommodates devices up to 13 inches. It weighs only 2.2 ounces, making it significantly lighter than the 5.71 ounce DRLOKPAK. Its dimensions are 6.3 by 11.2 inches, offering a slimmer profile than the bulkier 10 by 7.1 inch DRLOKPAK. You lose the ability to protect large tablets, but gain portability. Choose this if you carry a standard Kindle or similar reader and prefer minimal weight in your gear.
eMorevalue 7-Inch Waterproof E-Reader Pouch
The eMorevalue pouch is designed for 6 to 7 inch devices, contrasting with the DRLOKPAK’s support for screens up to 13 inches. It weighs 2.47 ounces, which is less than half the weight of the DRLOKPAK. The form factor is a simple pouch, whereas the DRLOKPAK uses a dry bag style with a double ziplock. You sacrifice universal compatibility for a lighter, more compact solution. This option suits readers who prioritize carrying a lightweight accessory for smaller e-readers during casual water activities.
JYGSFCHDC 7-Inch Waterproof E-Reader Pouch
The JYGSFCHDC pouch fits 6 to 7 inch e-readers, whereas the DRLOKPAK handles larger tablets up to 13 inches. It is a basic pouch form factor, differing from the DRLOKPAK’s dry bag design. The data does not list specific dimensions or weight, but it is intended for smaller devices. You give up the ability to protect larger screens but gain a specialized fit for standard e-readers. Select this if you swim or kayak with a compact device and need a dedicated, smaller protective case.
VOXSANEY 6-7 Inch Waterproof eReader Pouch
The VOXSANEY pouch is sized for 6 to 7 inch devices, unlike the DRLOKPAK which fits up to 13 inch tablets. It measures 5.91 by 7.87 inches, making it smaller and more compact than the DRLOKPAK. The verdict notes it offers floating protection, a feature not specified for the DRLOKPAK. You trade universal large-device compatibility for a solution that stays afloat. Pick this if you need a waterproof pouch for smaller readers that will not sink if dropped in water.
EMSEEK Waterproof Pouch for 6-7 Inch Readers
The EMSEEK pouch is listed as 8.5 inches in size, similar to the DRLOKPAK, but its specs show dimensions of 6.3 by 9.45 inches. It weighs 4.9 ounces, slightly lighter than the DRLOKPAK’s 5.71 ounces. It uses a dry bag form factor like the DRLOKPAK. You get a comparable size range but with a different internal dimension layout. This alternative is suitable for users who want a similar dry bag experience but prefer a slightly lighter weight and different dimensional profile for their device.
Amazon Kindle Paperwhite and Colorsoft Fabric Cover
The Amazon Kindle Fabric Cover is a fabric case, not a waterproof dry bag like the DRLOKPAK. It lacks water resistance features, offering only dust and scratch protection. It is designed specifically for Kindle Paperwhite and Colorsoft models, whereas the DRLOKPAK supports various tablets and e-readers. You lose all waterproof capability but gain an auto wake/sleep function and a lightweight fabric design. Choose this if you only need protection for your Kindle during dry, everyday use rather than water activities.
