The Fabater 7-Inch TFT LCD 8GB E-Reader offers a practical entry into digital reading with its 7-inch TFT LCD display and 8GB storage capacity. If you are searching for fabater 7 inch e book alternatives, you might want to explore options that better suit your specific needs. This device features a 2100mAh battery for extended use and includes physical flip buttons for easy navigation. Its splash-resistant design makes it suitable for outdoor reading near pools or in light rain. You can also expand your library using a memory card up to 32GB.
However, you may prefer a different screen technology, size, or brand for your next device. Some readers prioritize e-ink displays for better contrast or waterproofing for swimming. Others might want Android app support or larger storage for multimedia files. The alternatives in this list were chosen because their specifications overlap with the original device. We focused on products that share similar core attributes like screen size and memory. This approach helps you find a comparable device that aligns with your reading habits and technical requirements.
How these alternatives compare
Amazon Kindle Oasis 7-Inch E-Reader
The Amazon Kindle Oasis shares the 7-inch form factor and physical button layout of the Fabater, but upgrades the display technology significantly. It features a 300 ppi E Ink screen for sharper text and a waterproof design that exceeds the Fabater’s splash resistance. You trade the Fabater’s color TFT LCD for superior e-ink contrast, making the Oasis better for long reading sessions in bright sunlight. The 8GB storage matches the Fabater, but the build quality and warm light adjustments offer a more premium experience. Choose this if you prioritize text clarity and durability over color media playback.
GOWENIC 5.7-Inch Android 8.1 E-Reader
The GOWENIC 5.7-inch Android device shifts focus from pure reading to app flexibility and multimedia. While smaller than the Fabater’s 7-inch screen, it runs Android 8.1, allowing you to install various reading apps beyond the native library. It includes Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, which the Fabater lacks, enabling wireless file transfers and calls. The 1GB RAM supports multitasking, though the 5.7-inch display offers less real estate for text. Pick this alternative if you want a pocketable Android tablet for reading and social media rather than a dedicated, simple e-reader with physical page-turn buttons.
Sanpyl 7-Inch Color Screen E-Reader
The Sanpyl 7-inch Color E-Reader mirrors the Fabater’s screen size and TFT LCD technology, keeping the ability to display vivid images and color content. It targets users who want multimedia features without sacrificing battery life, similar to the Fabater’s 20-hour reading claim. Like the Fabater, it offers 8GB of storage for your library. The main difference lies in the specific color display tuning and build aesthetics. Choose this model if you prefer the Sanpyl brand’s design or want a black chassis, but otherwise, it functions similarly to the Fabater for color-heavy reading and light media consumption.
Sanpyl 5.7-Inch Android E-Reader
Similar to the GOWENIC, the Sanpyl 5.7-inch Android E-Reader offers a compact Android experience with 1GB RAM and Bluetooth connectivity. It is smaller than the Fabater’s 7-inch screen, making it more portable for one-handed use. This device supports Wi-Fi and built-in speakers, expanding its utility beyond simple ebook reading to include audio and app-based content. The 8GB storage matches the Fabater. Select this option if you prioritize a smaller footprint and the ability to run third-party Android apps, accepting the trade-off of a smaller display for greater portability and software flexibility.
Sanpyl 7-Inch TFT LCD Multimedia E-Reader
The Sanpyl 7-inch TFT LCD E-Reader matches the Fabater’s screen size and display type but offers increased storage capacity. While the Fabater provides 8GB, this model includes 32GB of internal storage, allowing you to save significantly more books, PDFs, and media files without needing a memory card. It retains the 7-inch TFT LCD for color viewing and multimedia playback. The larger storage makes it ideal for users with extensive libraries who do not want to manage external SD cards. Choose this if you need more space for your digital collection while keeping the same familiar 7-inch color screen experience.
GOWENIC 7-Inch TFT LCD E-Reader
The GOWENIC 7-inch TFT LCD E-Reader is a direct competitor to the Fabater, sharing the same screen size and display technology. It focuses on physical navigation with page-turning buttons, similar to the Fabater’s flip buttons. This model offers 16GB of storage, doubling the Fabater’s 8GB capacity for more local content. It is lightweight and designed primarily for reading with basic multimedia features. Pick this alternative if you prefer the GOWENIC brand or want double the internal storage for your ebooks and documents, while maintaining the same practical, button-driven interface and color display.
