HoYiXi vs Musnap Cover Specs
Screen Size
The HoYiXi case is designed for a broad range of 6 to 6.8-inch e-readers, including the Kindle Paperwhite and Kobo Clara HD. This flexibility allows you to use one cover for multiple devices within that size range. In contrast, the Musnap case is built specifically for the 7-inch Musnap Ocean C and Ocean models. If you own a 6-inch device, the Musnap case will not fit. Conversely, if you have a 7-inch Musnap reader, the HoYiXi case is too small. You must match the case dimensions to your specific device screen size for a proper fit.
Compatibility
HoYiXi offers universal compatibility with many brands, supporting Kindle, Kobo, PocketBook, Tolino, and Sony devices between 6 and 6.8 inches. It uses silicone clasps at the corners to secure devices of varying thicknesses. Musnap is strictly proprietary, working only with the Musnap Ocean C and Ocean readers. This means you cannot use the Musnap case with Kindles or Kobos. If you switch between different e-reader brands, the HoYiXi cover is the only viable option. The Musnap case is a dedicated accessory for its own ecosystem.
Smart Features
The Musnap case includes an auto sleep/wake function. Built-in magnets automatically wake your device when you open the cover and put it to sleep when you close it. This helps conserve battery life. The HoYiXi case explicitly does not support this feature. Its silicone clasps and magnetic snap closure are for physical security, not device control. You will need to manually wake or sleep your e-reader with the HoYiXi case. If automatic power management is important to your daily routine, the Musnap case provides this convenience out of the box.
Stand Function
HoYiXi includes a foldable stand with adjustable angles. This allows you to prop up your e-reader for hands-free reading at various inclinations. It also features an elastic hand strap for one-handed use. The Musnap case is described as a folio with a magnetic closure, but no stand function is listed in its specifications. You cannot prop the Musnap case up for viewing. If you prefer reading without holding the device, the HoYiXi stand is a significant advantage. The Musnap case relies on you holding the device or placing it flat.
Material
Both cases use PU leather as their primary exterior material. HoYiXi adds a soft microfiber interior to prevent scratches and shocks. It also uses silicone clasps for adjustment. Musnap uses premium PU leather with precise stitching. It also features a magnetic closure. The Musnap listing mentions a pen holder option in its variations, though the base model does not include it. HoYiXi does not mention a pen holder. Both materials aim to protect against daily wear. The HoYiXi interior lining offers extra scratch protection, while Musnap focuses on exterior stitching quality.
Which e-reader cover fits your needs

This universal design ensures compatibility with your specific hardware model.
Musnap Ocean device owner
You own a Musnap Ocean C or Ocean 7-inch reader. This case is built specifically for these 7-inch devices. It features auto sleep and wake functionality to save battery. Reader wanting stand and strap
You value hands-free reading convenience. The HoYiXi case includes an adjustable foldable stand for multi-angle viewing. It also features an elastic hand strap for secure one-handed holding.
