Key specs explained
Material: Synthetic leather
The exterior uses synthetic leather rather than genuine hide. This material offers durability against daily wear while remaining consistent in texture and appearance. It resists scratches and minor scuffs better than some natural fabrics. You get a premium look without the high maintenance of real leather. This choice often results in a lighter case that still feels sturdy in your hands.
Compatible Screen Size: 7"
This case is sized specifically for a 7-inch display. You must ensure your device matches this exact dimension for a proper fit. A mismatch can leave edges exposed or prevent the lid from closing fully. This size is typical for the Kindle Oasis. Checking your device's screen size is the first step before purchasing any protective cover to avoid compatibility issues.
Features: Auto Sleep/Wake
The case includes sensors that detect when the cover is open or closed. Closing the lid puts the device to sleep, saving battery life. Opening it wakes the screen instantly. This feature requires your Kindle to support it natively. It adds convenience by removing the need to press buttons manually. You should verify your device settings enable this function for it to work correctly.
Features: Waterproof
The listing describes the case as waterproof. This suggests protection against spills, rain, or accidental submersion. It helps keep your e-reader safe during bath reading or outdoor use. However, the case itself does not make the device waterproof if it is not already. You should still treat the device with care. This feature adds a layer of confidence for readers who enjoy using their devices in wet environments.
Design and build details
According to the listing, this NAWVNMI case is constructed from synthetic leather. This material choice provides a durable exterior that resists scratches, shocks, drops, and fingerprints. The interior features a soft microfiber lining to protect the screen and keep it clean. You get a protective layer against spills and daily damages without the high maintenance of genuine leather. The finish is printed with decorative designs to keep the device looking new. This aesthetic choice allows you to personalize your e-reader while maintaining a professional appearance on your desk or in your bag.
The case is specifically sized for the 7-inch Kindle Oasis, covering both the 9th and 10th generation models released in 2019. It includes an auto wake and sleep function that activates when you open or close the lid. This feature requires your Kindle to have the function enabled in its settings beforehand. The design ensures a snug fit, preventing the device from sliding out during transport. It does not include any other accessories, serving solely as a protective shell. You can choose from various compatible models if you own a different Kindle version, but for the Oasis, the fit is precise. The waterproof claim suggests resistance to liquid exposure, though the listing notes it is primarily a protective case for daily use. The layout keeps ports accessible while the cover shields the screen from direct contact with surfaces.
Setup And Daily Use Guide
Setting up this case requires no technical configuration. You simply place your Kindle Oasis inside the cover. The listing notes that the auto wake and sleep feature depends on your device’s existing settings. You must ensure your Kindle has this function enabled in advance. If it is not already set, you need to configure it before relying on the case to trigger sleep mode when you close the lid. This step is critical for the feature to work as described. The case is designed specifically for the 7-inch Kindle Oasis, covering both the 9th and 10th generation models released in 2019. It does not fit other Kindle sizes. You should verify your device’s model code on the back of the unit or in the basic information menu. This ensures you have selected the correct variant from the ten available options. Daily use involves opening and closing the cover to control the screen. The synthetic leather exterior protects against scratches, drops, and spills. The microfiber lining keeps the screen clean from fingerprints. The printed design remains visible, allowing you to enjoy a personalized look while reading. The case does not include any other accessories. It serves only as a protective shell. You handle your device through the cover, relying on the auto-standby mechanism to save battery life when not in use. The waterproof claim suggests protection from accidental liquid exposure during reading sessions. The build aims to withstand daily handling without adding significant bulk.
Before you buy this case
You should verify your device model code before purchasing. The listing specifies compatibility with the 7-inch Kindle Oasis 10th generation (2019). Other sizes like the Scribe or Paperwhite require different fits. Since this is a case only, you do not get any additional accessories. You must ensure your Kindle’s auto wake and sleep function is enabled in settings for the case to work correctly. Regular care involves wiping the synthetic leather exterior with a dry cloth to remove dust. The microfiber lining helps keep the screen clean, but you should still avoid placing sharp objects inside. This option suits readers who want basic protection without bulk. It fits well alongside other e-reader accessories if you need scratch resistance and spill protection. Check the model table carefully to avoid buying the wrong size for your specific device generation.
