What stands out
- 7-inch TFT LCD color screen with 800x480 resolution
- 16GB internal storage expandable via memory card

- Splash-proof design for bath or pool use
Who it fits
Good fit for
You should consider this device if you enjoy reading in color formats, such as comics, magazines, or illustrated children's books. The splash-proof design makes it suitable for use in the bath or by the pool. The dedicated flip keys are helpful if you prefer physical buttons for turning pages. Additionally, if you want to listen to music or watch videos on the same device, the multimedia capabilities and included earphones provide a complete entertainment package for your commute or relaxation time.
Who should skip it
You should look elsewhere if you prioritize long battery life for reading-only sessions. This device offers up to 10 hours of music playback, which is significantly less than dedicated e-ink readers that can last weeks. If you prefer a glare-free, paper-like display for outdoor reading in direct sunlight, the TFT LCD screen may not be ideal. Also, if you do not want to manage an additional memory card for storage expansion, the limited 16GB internal capacity might require extra effort to organize your library effectively.
Verdict: This reader suits users who want color visuals and multimedia features in a splash-proof package. It is less ideal for those seeking long battery life or a traditional e-ink experience.
Key specs explained for you
Screen Size: 7 inch
A seven-inch display offers a balanced viewing area that fits easily in one hand while providing enough space to read text comfortably. This size is larger than standard six-inch e-ink readers, making it suitable for those who prefer more room for images or comics. It is small enough for portability but large enough to reduce the need for frequent page turning compared to smaller devices.
Display Type: TFT LCD
TFT LCD technology provides a color screen with higher brightness and faster refresh rates than traditional e-ink displays. This means you can view photos and videos in full color with better clarity. However, it does not use paper-like technology, so it may cause more eye strain during long reading sessions in bright sunlight compared to e-ink alternatives. It is ideal for multimedia consumption.
Storage Capacity: 16GB
Internal storage holds thousands of books, songs, and photos without requiring an external card. This capacity allows you to carry a substantial digital library and media collection locally. If you need more space, the device supports expansion up to 32GB via a memory card. This flexibility ensures you can store high-resolution images and audio files alongside your text-based content for a complete portable entertainment experience.
Resolution: 800x480
This resolution defines the number of pixels on the screen, affecting text sharpness and image detail. An 800x480 pixel count provides clear text for reading and decent quality for standard definition videos. It is sufficient for general browsing and media viewing. When comparing devices, higher resolutions offer crisper text, but this level is adequate for casual reading and basic multimedia tasks on a seven-inch screen.
Design and build overview

You can carry the device without excessive worry about minor drops or bumps during your commute. The housing is designed to withstand typical handling conditions while keeping the unit lightweight enough for one-handed use.
The device features a splash-proof design, allowing you to read in the bath, by the pool, or in the rain. This protection guards against accidental water damage, expanding where you can comfortably use the reader. You do not need to remove it from potentially damp environments to keep it safe.
Navigation is handled by dedicated independent flip keys. These controls allow quick previews and precise positioning within your reading content. You can simplify your reading experience and find your place in seconds without relying solely on touchscreen gestures. The layout prioritizes tactile feedback for efficient page turning. This setup suits users who prefer physical buttons for core reading actions, reducing eye strain and improving control during long sessions.
Setup and daily operation
Setting up the Wisoqu 7-Inch Color Screen E-Reader is straightforward. The device comes with a protective case, earphones, and a screen protector. These included items suggest you can begin using the device immediately after unboxing. You do not need to purchase additional accessories for basic operation. The 16GB internal memory allows you to store thousands of books, songs, and photos right away. If you require more space, you can expand the storage up to 32GB using a small memory card. Note that the card is not included, so you must provide it separately.
Daily use is defined by the dedicated independent flip keys. These buttons enable you to navigate through chapters and images quickly. You can preview pages and position yourself precisely within your content without relying solely on touch controls. This feature simplifies reading and helps you find your place in seconds. The 250 cd/m2 brightness supports comfortable viewing for extended periods. You can read, browse photos, or watch videos without eye strain.
The 2100 mAh battery provides up to 20 hours of reading or 10 hours of music playback. The splash-proof design allows you to use the device in the bath or by the pool. The durable ABS construction ensures the device withstands everyday conditions. You can carry your entire digital library with you. The combination of multimedia features and reading functionality makes this device suitable for users who want a single tool for both entertainment and literature.
Before You Buy This E-Reader
You should verify that your digital library formats match the device’s supported file types before purchasing. The 16GB internal storage, expandable to 32GB, handles thousands of books and photos, but you will need a separate memory card for maximum capacity. Since this model includes earphones, you can enjoy music and videos without buying extras, though you may want a dedicated charging cable if your current one is incompatible. The splash-proof design allows use near water, but you must still dry it thoroughly after exposure to prevent long-term damage. Unlike standard e-ink readers, this color TFT LCD screen consumes more power, so you will charge it more frequently. It fits best for users who want multimedia flexibility alongside reading, rather than those seeking pure text-only efficiency. Keep the protective case on during travel to maintain the ABS housing integrity.
