Hamgeek M3 3.7-Inch Pocket E-Reader Alternatives: 6 Similar Picks Compared

How each alternative compares

Musnap 7" Color 64GB E-Reader

The Musnap Ocean C 7-Inch Color E-Reader offers a significantly larger 7-inch color display compared to the Hamgeek M3’s 3.7-inch ink screen. It includes 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM for better multitasking. However, it lacks the included stylus pen. This device suits users who prioritize color graphics and app flexibility over the Hamgeek’s compact portability and battery efficiency. It is heavier and wider, measuring 6.2 by 5.46 inches. If you read color comics or need a larger canvas, this is the better choice. You give up the ultra-lightweight feel for a more powerful, tablet-like experience.

GOWENIC 5.7-Inch Android 8.1 E-Reader

The GOWENIC 5.7-Inch Android 8.1 E-Reader runs a full Android operating system, unlike the Hamgeek’s dedicated e-reader interface. It features 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage, plus Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and a built-in speaker. The Hamgeek M3 supports MP3 and FLAC audio via wired headphones but has no speaker. This GOWENIC model fits users who want app support and wireless media playback. It sacrifices the Hamgeek’s specialized ink display and long battery life for general-purpose computing. If you need to install third-party apps or listen to audio without cables, this alternative is more versatile.

Sanpyl 2.7-Inch Bluetooth E-Reader

The Sanpyl 2.7-Inch Bluetooth E-Reader is smaller than the Hamgeek M3, offering extreme portability for travelers. It includes Bluetooth connectivity for wireless audio, which the Hamgeek lacks. The Hamgeek provides a larger 3.7-inch screen and 10-level front light adjustment. The Sanpyl relies on memory cards for storage and focuses on basic reading and audio. This device is ideal if you value minimal size over screen real estate. You trade the Hamgeek’s superior display size and brightness control for a more compact form factor and wireless audio convenience. It is a niche option for those who carry memory cards and prioritize ultra-lightweight design.

Wisoqu 5" E-Reader with Pen

The Wisoqu 5-Inch E-Reader with Pen combines a stylus and camera in a small package, differing from the Hamgeek M3’s simple reading focus. It features an HD display and supports handwriting and photo capture. The Hamgeek M3 lacks these multimedia features but offers a dedicated ink display for text. This Wisoqu model suits users who value note-taking and multimedia over traditional e-ink performance. It measures 5.12 by 5.12 inches, similar in width to the Hamgeek but thicker. If you need to annotate books or take photos while reading, this device provides those capabilities. You give up the Hamgeek’s optimized reading experience for added functionality.

GOWENIC 5-Inch E-Reader with Handwriting Board

The GOWENIC 5-Inch Inkless E-Reader with Handwriting Board prioritizes note-taking over traditional e-ink technology. It features an HD display and supports quick jotting, unlike the Hamgeek M3’s dedicated text-focused ink screen. Both devices are similarly sized at 5.12 by 5.12 inches. The GOWENIC model is suitable for casual reading and note-taking on the go. It sacrifices the Hamgeek’s glare-free ink display and long battery life for immediate response and writing features. If you need a device for quick annotations and casual use, this is a solid option. You trade the superior reading clarity of the Hamgeek for enhanced portability and writing capabilities.

Fabater 6-Inch Touchscreen E-Reader

The Fabater 6-Inch Touchscreen E-Reader provides a larger 6-inch HD display compared to the Hamgeek M3’s 3.7-inch screen. It includes physical buttons for navigation, offering tactile control unlike the Hamgeek’s touch-only interface. The Hamgeek M3 is more compact and lightweight. This Fabater model fits users who prioritize physical controls and basic portability over wireless connectivity. It lacks the Hamgeek’s adjustable front light and audio format support. If you prefer tactile navigation and a larger reading area, this device is a good alternative. You give up the Hamgeek’s ultra-portability and advanced display features for a more traditional, button-driven reading experience.
